Florian Vases
PROJECT: Aleksandra Satława
make me! 2014
“Wazony Florian” were designed for users who will have the possibility to personalise their vases according to their needs. The set consists of a universal base and two types of overlays of various sizes. The wide one was adapted for bouquets. Moreover, if reversed it harmonizes with pendulous plants. The narrow overlay supports single high flowers. By reversing it you will get a vase for plants that require a microclimate. Removable glass overlays make it easier to clean the vases.

“Wazony Florian” were created out of passion for plants and glass at Glass Atelier at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. The project as a whole has been made using a glass blowing technique by glassmakers from the Rona glass factory. The craft nature is what makes each vase different and unique. The vases with their forms are to evoke flower calyces.
