The special INTERPRINT prize in the form of a trip to the Interprint Furniture Days workshops to the company’s headquarters in Arnsberg, Germany.

Dashes was born out of the conviction that everyday objects should be created in dialogue with reality in such a way that existing forms are not repeated, but new forms are invented. The furniture, which is minimalist in design, is distinguished by its light and fresh form and an added value in terms of functionality and comfort. The entire collection consists of a trestle, a stool, a hanger, and a table. Thus: the design of the trestle is a solution to the habit of hanging up half-dirty, half-clean clothes on a chair or armchair, while the stool is equipped with a footrest convenient for children and a carrying handle. The hanger from the collection acts as an open wardrobe, enforcing order in clothes; the lower crossbars serve for storing shoes. There is also a table that can be slid under the sofa or bed so that one can put down a coffee or a book more comfortably. There is a hole in the top for easier carrying and helping to keep cables ( of a lamp, a projector, a phone) organized and tidy. Designing the collection was about looking for lightness and visual order, finding maximum functionality with a minimum, but still attractive form. Prototypes were created in collaboration with Kuba Omalecki to help test the first ideas in terms of stability and ergonomics. It is already clear that the collection will be expanded to include other elements.
