?The mountains hold a special place in my heart, since my grandparents were raised on the hillsides of the Carpathian range in Ukraine and in Poland. I wanted to show my work surrounded by their beauty. Accompanied by the sounds of the trembita, a long wooden horn, and the highlanders? bagpipes, we watched the local head shepherd tending to his sheep grazing a large meadow. We also invited the famous ?bear? from the resort town of Zakopane to participate in the shoot. In the Fall/Winter 2023 collection we?re combining the ?old? and the ?new.? I?m looking to the past for inspiration and reinterpreting my own ideas.? ? Zofia Chylak
