In their projects, REST studio explore technological and aesthetic issues, without forgetting the soothing experience that haptics can provide. These aspects come together in the BLUR collection. The double woven structure, stuffed with merino wool is an exploration of voluptuousness and threedimensionality in textile design.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Their use of multiple types of yarn (mohair, brushed alpaca, alpaca boucl\u00e9) ensures warmth, a variety of tactile sensations and an enveloping form. By brushing alpaca and mohair fibres, they are able to obtain fluid, painterly transitions of colour in the woven structure.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

BLUR blankets are handwoven by Julia and Dominika, founding duo of REST studio, on an analogue harness loom. All the objects are unique.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
