"About the growing reputation of the make me! contest I could see for myself personally as its finalist twice (2012 and 2014) Thanks to the care of the organizers and the professional jury from the national plebiscite for students make me! has become an important international competition for young designers. After the final in 2014, designed by me Plantation won several awards and went into production in less than half a year. Media and commercial interest so far has been stunning for me (I'm not exaggerating). Plantation has appeared in very prestigious design stores around the world, including: Merci in Paris, MoMA in New York, Barbican in London ... in China, Korea, Canada, Japan, etc. Contest make me! has become for me an unquestionable stimulus and a prestigious commitment to work on quality and the greatest care when placing your own product on the market."

"At the university it is easy to develop and realize ideas. But sometimes the value of an idea only becomes conscious when you go public with it. Participation in make me! Competition for me was the first time that I left the sheltered walls of our university. It was a great pleasure to see my project in such a well-made exhibition alongside so many good projects. The competition allowed me an intensive exchange with designers from many different disciplines. The great interest and the award encouraged me to continue working on the project Erde Wachs Stift // Crayons out of Soil after the competition. As a result of the media attention after the award other exhibitions in Cologne, Halle and Eindhoven followed. And in addition to all these wonderful impressions, conversations and the following possibilities, I now count a crayon with earth from Lodz to my collection, as a reminder of a wonderful festival."

Marlène Huissoud, the winner of make me!:

"It has been an honor for me to take part in the contest, surrounded by international designers, a fantastic jury and amazing design pieces. Winning the competition gave me an opportunity to exhibit my project in Poland (for the first time) and to invest in equipment for my studio in London. The competition gave me confidence to continue the project From Insects and to push my practice within the design and art fields. Thank you so much for having me!"

"For me, winning make me! contest set off a cascade of events and experiences -invitations to exhibitions, festivals, contacts with various interesting people who saw my project at the next show or on-line. In addition, huge psychological support and incentive to aim high. And, of course, a cash injection, which gives independence for some time, helps with the execution and implementation of next project or lets you have a very long vacation (whatever you like)."
