IUW – personal flotation device for watersports

IUW is the design of an individual buoyant device for water sports enthusiasts. IUW not only acts as a flotation device, but also assists in the process of pulling the user out of the water. The use of a suitable filling allowed the form to be shaped in such a way that it adapts to the human body in the best possible manner and does not restrict the movement of the arms, the neck or the torso while providing sufficient buoyancy. The innovative design of IUW, as well as the materials used, mean that it offers a high level of wearing comfort compared to most such devices. The chosen colour scheme divides the form into two parts: a bright base component and a grey buoyant component. This colour system not only increases visibility, but also highlights the parts with which the user can perform specific actions. The intuitive fastening system makes putting on and adjusting the waistcoat extremely easy.
