4. ŁÓDŹ DESIGN FESTIVAL
AMAZING LIFE
14-30.10.2010
The fourth edition of the festival under the slogan “Amazing Life” was intended to encourage us to pay attention to the amazing world around us. The main program of ŁDF 2010 included two curatorial exhibitions: “Crush Zone”, referring to the use of the processes of destruction, crushing, bending and connecting elements in design, curated by Agnieszka Jacobson-Cielecka, and “Underpressure”, an exhibition curated by Oskar Zięta, focusing on projects inspired by air., pressure, blowing and lightness.
Special exhibitions also provided an interpretation of the main theme. “Table Talk” by Marek Cecuła with projects talking about the new roles of ceramics and design, the unusual “Living Room” and an unusual look at jewelry in the “6:10” project. The promotion of a healthy lifestyle in the “Be Cycle & Fashion” exhibition and Moooi’s projects were a perfect complement to the festival program.
During ŁDF 2010, a total of over 40 exhibitions were held, presenting 815 artists.
