Space of the water is an exhibition of CENTRALA (Małgorzata Kuciewicz and Simone De Iacobis) – a Warsaw-based architecture and research studio that works with reinterpretations and spatial interventions aimed at renewing the language of architecture. In their architecture research practice, they examine the relationship between architecture and natural phenomena. They conceive of architecture as a process, considering gravity, water circulation, and atmospheric and astronomical events its building materials. Interested in memory and materiality of architecture.
Being in confined and overcrowded places, we seek spaces of respite, free breathing, air. A social desire to be in a place without restrictions or on the verge of events is born. Water remembers us and probably no one like it.
Water is recognized as the beginning of all things, part of the structure of the world – occurring in three phases of aggregation.
