Hanna Ferenc’s Bar stool design is based on the premise that a part of the production process can be passed onto the user. Although there are some companies that use the customer’s energy for the assembling of furniture, they do not leave any room for creative interaction. This design allows for such interaction between the stool and its user and as a result there forms a “creator-work of art” relation in addition to the standard “consumergoods” one. The design is made up of simple elements that make it easy to assemble this piece of furniture at home. In order to build your own bar stool, you only need a white pipe, which ends up as part of the stool; elements for bending; and a straightforward video instruction (QR code on the object).
