The series of hats made from denim legs that were left in the warehouse after cropping trousers into shorts. The recycled material, partly hand-dyed to expand the color palette, forms the base textile for “Body Holes” headwear. Custom-made brim inserts and size-adjusting sliders, along with plotter-cut details, were used to create the caps. Despite using waste materials, the caps were finished with care and precision, resulting in a product of high-quality craftsmanship that defines luxury fashion in a unique way. “Body Holes” headgear features fanciful, mating animal forms such as beetle antennae or horns, as fashion even in the face of a looming apocalypse is about sex and attraction. This countercultural streetwear project draws attention to the issues of overproduction and consumerism, appealing to people who value innovative design, and subversive actions, and believe that the future will be queer.
