make me! 2014
“Lampostolik” was created out of an actual need. One of the brothers planned to organise his birthday party in a park after dark. The thought popped into his mind that there is no sign visible from far away that will help his friends reach the destination. It was also indispensable to create an atmosphere that integrates people and wireless lighting that would light the area and brought snacks. And the result was “Lampostolik” – lightweight, but sturdy, a convertible outdoor piece of furniture that combines the functions of a table and lamp. It friendly illuminates the surrounding area so that guests gather around it just like around a bonfire. The object solves a number of problems related to the organisation of outdoor events. Thanks to its resistance to atmospheric conditions one can use it stationarily and throughout the entire season. Materials used: top – HPL, masts – anodized aluminium, lampshade – tyvek, LED lamp housing – polycarbonate, a line coupling the masts under the top (at the same time – a load-bearing structure for the top) – stainless steel.
