Food means more than just surviving. Sharing food has always been a part of human history. Eating together is the most primal ritual we perform. Preparing food and sharing is fundamental for creating a sense of belonging. The conceptual tableware ”Share” is designed to address and emphasize the importance of the cultural significance of sharing food. The goal of the project is to encourage people to build social ties, mend relationships or prolong them.
The tableware is a set of three ceramic plates of different capacities paired with three wooden stands. The unique feature of the plates is the wide and flat rim. It helps to easily serve the plates to each other, to turn them and to hold them together. The wooden stands mark the path on the table along which the plates travel.
