Flying Seesaw

make me! 2013

Justyna Zubrycka has elaborated upon the simple structure of the seesaw by adding wings which are designed to naturally mimic the movements of bird or angel wings as the seesaw moves to and fro. By doing so, the designer has managed to realize children’s dreams of flying on Pegasus wings by using a simple and subtle solution. The design for the seesaw uses only natural materials: solid wood (oak), hemp ropes and sheep wool felt, the latter being a reused material left over from the manufacturing process.
