6. ŁÓDŹ DESIGN FESTIVAL
AWARENESS
18-28.10.2012
Is design just about creating another object, or is it a way of thinking that can influence the reality around us? How does it affect our lives? Can it change the world for the better? By asking these questions, Łódź Design Festival in October 2012 proved that CONSCIOUS design is not indifferent to the problems of the modern world and cares about a better “here and now”. The festival’s motto drew attention to how important awareness is in design and how many ways it can be understood in relation to design.
The three main festival exhibitions touched on the issues of relationships between objects, the influence of the artist’s origin on his designs and the issue of 3D printing. For the youngest audience, the organizers have prepared, among others: walks through exhibitions, an educational playroom and workshops developing imagination and creativity.
