7. ŁÓDŹ DESIGN FESTIVAL
IT’S ALL ABOUT HUMANITY
17-27.10.2013
For ŁDF 2013, the organizers prepared several hundred exhibitions and events in total, which took place in the Festival Center and the City Zone – from Edukreation dedicated to the youngest through the post-competition exhibition make me! to industry conferences “Food | Design | Humanity” and Biznes!Up. The motto “It’s all about humanity” focused attention on design, in which the role and definition of the user’s needs are the most important. The ŁDF program, which was created in cooperation with the council composed of: Klara Czerniewska, Agata Nowotny, Weronika Rochacka, Iwo Zmyślony, Agnieszka Jacobson-Cielecka and Paweł Grobelny, was divided into 3 perspectives: residence – presentation of ways of living in a contemporary Polish city that can potentially be a source of social change; consumption – food treated as a product to be designed – suitable for consumption, ergonomic, functional and empathy – a story about methods leading to good, human-centered design.
