make me! 2018
OKKA is a project of 8 mockups, each of which consists of two complementary pages, on which contrastive abstract concepts are presented in Braille: concave-convex, empty-full, little-much, straight-curvy, checkered-lined, oval-angular, city-house, forest-tree. OKKA is made of plywood, in which the lines are drawn with a laser and spatial illustrations are created thanks to the layered arrangement of the elements. OKKA satisfies the need for beauty, is readable for the blind as well as intuitive and activating the imagination. OKKA is a book not only for reading, it is a play book that enables interaction and constant rediscovery through well-defined concepts, each of which has many meanings. OKKA is a new way of thinking about a book. OKKA is a way of thinking about those who see the world with other senses than we do.
