make me! 2024

The objects serve not only practical but also symbolic functions. Through their shape, material, and manufacturing method, they speak to us, evoking thoughts and emotions. The I DISAPPEAR project aims to draw attention to the ecological crisis, serving as a pretext for conversations and an attempt to build social awareness.

One manifestation of this crisis is the melting of mountain glaciers in the Alps. In 50 years, a significant portion of them may disappear. This phenomenon will not only change the landscape but also have a huge impact on the environment by reducing access to drinking water.

During the project, ice blocks became the form for the emerging objects. Under the influence of high temperatures of glass, the ice gradually underwent an irreversible melting process, assuming different shapes each time. Through spatial documentation, glass vases became illustrations of how our reality changes irreversibly and irretrievably.

I believe our primal bond with nature can answer fundamental questions and needs. Drawing inspiration from this, I create objects that, beyond practicality, become integral parts of our homes, narrating unique stories through sensitive observation of the world.”
