Despite unforeseen pandemic circumstances, the Łódź Design Festival wasn’t canceled and as one of the few cultural festivals in Poland and Łódź, was held on a date postponed to autumn. The formula of the event was adapted to the – the organizers set themselves the first goal of meeting the new expectations of recipients and challenges related to their safety. The most important exhibitions of the edition were shown in specially arranged containers, placed in generally accessible public spaces, and the events with guests were transferred to the Internet.

_make me!
To the 13th edition of make me! in 2020, out of 268 submitted applications, the jury composed of: Agnieszka Jacobson-Cielecka, Boaz Katz, Czesława Frejlich, Szymon Hanczar, Luca Nichetto, Agata Nowotny, Mariusz Włodarczyk, Maurizio Burrato, Jerzy Porębski and Michał Piernikowski, selected 23 projects. The finalists competed for a total prize pool of PLN 65.000 from the Łódź Design Festival, Ceramika Paradyż and Interprint. The post-competition exhibition was presented in the courtyard of the unique, post-industrial complex Monopolis. Partner of the make me! was Ceramika Paradyż.

In the jubilee, 10th edition of the plebiscite in 2020 r., the Board of Experts composed of: Anna Grużewska, Dominika Olszyna, Agnieszka Gruszczyńska-Hyc, Małgorzata Szczepańska, Areta Szpura, Magda Świć, Paweł Rafa, Maria Ostrowska, Agnieszka Polkowska, Olga Łosiak, Zbigniew Maćków, Michał Mazur, Przemo Łukasik, Iwona Ławecka-Marczewska, Zuza Dominów, Diana Nachiło, Monika Zieleniewska and Michał Piernikowski awarded 75 products out of 409 entries. The exhibition presenting the finalists of the plebiscite was held in glass containers in the Manufaktura market square in Łódź.
