3. ŁÓDŹ DESIGN FESTIVAL
MY WAY
15-31.10.2009

“My Way”, the motto of the third edition of the ŁDF festival, drew attention to the fact that there are many ways of thinking about design and ways of design. Neither is better than the other. We can all benefit from diversity.

As part of the main theme, three curatorial exhibitions were carried out, which told different stories, came from different generations, and therefore showed different states of consciousness. These exhibitions included: “Upstream/Design Tales” by Agnieszka Jacobson-Cielecka, “Surtido” by Tomek Rygalik and “Non Object Ive” by Marek Cecuła.

One of the biggest attractions at ŁDF was the “Counterpoint” lecture by Daniel Libeskind, which was attended by 1.000 people, and the highlight of the festival was the opening of the Portiernia Design Cafe.

The implementation of ŁDF 2009 was supported by over 100 volunteers.
