The 13th edition of ŁDF was full of guests (including foreign ones) and events, but the most important message was the content encouraging the recipients to slow down, find a moment to breathe and think about what really gives them a sense of happiness, peace, luxury and security in life. Together with designers, architects and creators, we were looking for a recipe for a good life. More than 30 exhibitions, lectures, workshops and discussion panels with the participation of Polish and international specialists awaited the audience. They came to Lodz, among others. Jaime Hayón and representatives of the studio Form Us With Love.

_make me! 

 

In the 12th edition of make me! in 2019, from 148 applications, the jury composed of: Agnieszka Jacobson-Cielecka, Czesława Frejlich, Mariusz Włodarczyk, Agata Kulik-Pomorska and Paweł Pomorski (Malafor), Maurizio Burrato and Michał Piernikowski selected 22 finalists who competed for a total prize pool of PLN 65.000 from the Patron of the Festival – Ceramika Paradyż, sponsor of Interprint and Łódź Design Festival. The post-competition exhibition was presented at the Festival Center in Art_Inkubator in Fabryka Sztuki in Łódź.

 

The winners were:

  • make me! Paradyż Award in amount of PLN 50.000: The One Dollar Glasses – Nils Körner, Patrick Henry Nagel / Haus Otto (Germany) 

  • make me! ŁDF special award in amount of PL 10.000: ASHka – ash-made ceramic – Mateusz Mioduszewski (Poland) 

  • make me! Interprint special award in amount of PLN 5.000 :The One Dollar Glasses – Nils Körner, Patrick Henry Nagel / Haus Otto (Germany)

The 9th edition of the plebiscite in 2019 was attended by the largest group of the Board of Experts, which included: Agnieszka Gruszczyńska-Hyc, Anna Grużewska, Harel, Olga Łosiak, Przemo Łukasik, Zbigniew Maćków, Robert Majkut, Michał Mazur, Dominika Olszyna, Maria Ostrowska , Michał Piernikowski, Agnieszka Polkowska, Paweł Rafa, Małgorzata Szczepanska, Magda Świć, Ewa Trzcionka. As a result of the vote, the Experts awarded the must have quality mark to 69 products/product collections. Among the awarded were, among others: books, pins, a series of furniture and ceramics. The exhibition presenting the 59 finalists of the plebiscite was held at the Festival Center in Art_Inkubator in Fabryka Sztuki in Łódź.

The organization of the 13th Łodź Design Festival was possible thanks to the support of Łódzkie Centrum Wydarzeń and City of Łódź. The patron of the Festival was Ceramika Paradyż, and the sponsor was Interprint. Among the patrons of the Festival was: Art_Inkubator in Fabryka Sztuki, Dajar, AMBITION, Leroy Merlin, Central Museum of Textiles in Łódź, Porcelana Kristoff, Agnella and Bombilla.
