Participate
in Łódź Design Festival 2023
Are you designing, organize exhibitions, or maybe run workshops? If you work in the creative industry and want to present yourself during the Łódź Design Festival, that’s great!
Below we present the possibilities of getting involved and participating in the next edition of the event.
Łódź Design Festival – application for competitions and exhibitions
make me! – contest for young creators
make me! is one of the most innovative design events in Europe and a key part of the Łódź Design Festival. The most important goal of make me! is forecasting upcoming trends and supporting young designers (aged 20-35) who are ready to enter the industry. The finalists of the previous editions emphasize the opportunities that opened up to them thanks to their presence in the competition, including: becoming known in the design community, promotion through numerous publications and subsequent exhibitions. The submitted works are evaluated in two stages by a specially selected, diverse group of juries, and thanks to the presentation of projects at the exhibition open to the public and contacts with experts, make me! can be a springboard for further professional development.
must have – plebiscite for designers and manufacturers
must have is a plebiscite organized since 2011 by the Łódź Design Festival, distinguishing the best implementations from Polish designers and manufacturers. It is a free quality mark that companies can use in the country and abroad. It was created to popularize good Polish design and thus promote domestic business and designers. must have is a unique consumer recommendation and the most media event in Polish design. Its goal is to support the creative sector through the extensive promotion of products that are the result of cooperation between the manufacturer and the designer. Applications for the plebiscite are accepted free of charge via the form available on the plebiscite website. Own nominations, based on a market review, are also made by the Board of Experts, whose main task is the final assessment of all applications.
open program – open recruitment for the LDF program
open program is addressed primarily to representatives of institutions, curators, artists, designers etc. – to anyone who wants to show the festival audience the effects of their creative work. It’s a space for interesting, original activities that will enrich the festival program. Applications may concern such activities as an exhibition, art installation, workshop, lecture or urban activities (e.g. themed walks, games, etc.).
We have recruitment for the ŁDF program throughout the year, primarily as part of the projects we implement – the make me! competition, the must have plebiscite and the open programme.
