The latest Hawrot collection is a follow-up to the designer’s first encounter with the works of Aleksandra Waliszewska, which took place in 2016. This time, following a premonition that there was something to be discovered in this art, Hawrot was prompted by intuition to look for inspiration and stimulus from where the paradoxical affirmativeness of Waliszewska’s art flows. To bite into the representation of the macabre in her works and see what the mediation of cruel content through images yields. Why do we like to look at them? Why do we carry them inside us? Why do we want to carry them?
