_make me!

In 2008, the first, historic edition of the make me! competition for young designers took place. This premiere part of the program was addressed to beginner designers and focused on searching for projects that will surprise with innovation, creativity, aesthetics and awareness of form. Co-organizer of the 1st edition of make me! was the National Cultural Center, which donated PLN 20.000 for the main winner. Interprint and DuPont Corian were also prize sponsors.

For the 1st edition of make me! 100 applications were received, of which 16 made it to the finals. The jury consisted of: Sławomir Kluziak, Michał Stefanowski, Ewa Gołębiowska, Gian Luca Amadei, Katarzyna Flera, Grzegorz Piątek and Agnieszka Jacobson-Cielecka.

The main prize in the first make me! competition awarded to Bartosz Mucha for the Spinacz project.

The organization of the 2th Łódź Design Festival was Łódź Art Center. The event was held under the patronage of Minister of Culture and National Heritage Bogdan Zdrojewski, Marshal of the Łódź Voivodeship Włodzimierz Fisiak and President of City of Łódź Jerzy Kropiwnicki. The partner was Łódź – Europejska Stolica Kultury 2016. Festival prepared with funds from the budget Łódź Voivodeship. The project was co-financed by funds Minister of Culture and National Heritage. Coorganizer was Narodowe Centrum Kultury. The edition was co-created by: Fabryka Sztuki, Manufaktura oraz Atak Design. The sponsors included: Hotel andel’s, Paradyż Group, Interprint, Deante, Mikomax, DuPont Corian i Elegante. The ŁDF 2008 edition was created in cooperation with: Arctic Paper, Fabryka Trzciny, Śląski Zamek Sztuki i Przedsiębiorczości w Cieszynie, TNT, Restauracja Filmowa, KoKoo, Rezydencja, Międzynarodowe Targi Łódzkie, Allmendinger.pl, Centrum-Hotele, Press Service, Boogie Design For Living, PKP Przewozy Regionalne.
