STATION: GREENING – workshop on native plants and retention
Another workshop will be held in early May (May 10), following on from March’s activities during Free Flow in the City – how to keep water for longer?
In the face of a changing climate, urban green spaces play a key role in improving the quality of life and adapting to new conditions. Therefore, we cordially invite you to the second participatory workshop, implemented within the PALIMPSEST project, which will be held in a unique family atmosphere.
This time we will focus on the practical aspects of creating and nurturing greenery in the city. During the event:
- We will open a Plant Exchange Station – bring plants you want to share and find new green treasures for your home or garden;
- You will learn about native plant species and their role in creating drought-resistant urban ecosystems;
- You will learn how to create and maintain gardens that are not only pleasing to the eye, but also serve an important function in retaining water and protecting against the effects of drought;
- You will learn how to combine the aesthetics of natural design with practical retention solutions.
