The “Material LAB” exhibition is a showcase of innovative student projects and research works by faculty members from the Design Department at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. What unites these projects is an experimental approach to material design, along with a strong focus on environmental responsibility and cultural heritage. The exhibition features presentations of biomaterials and recycled materials that are being given new applications. Selected projects draw on craft traditions, contributing to the preservation of cultural heritage.
The exhibition was included in the Łódź Design Festival 2025 program as part of the open call open programme.
