The Art of City

Exhibition of students and lecturers associated with the Faculty of Interior Design of the Academy of Art in Szczecin. 

For us, the city as a designed space is an unlimited labyrinth of creative experiments and solutions, starting with futuristic visions, where modular elements being a hybrid of architecture and crystalline shapes expand in all possible directions, creating infinite universes filled with a form in which there is no room for emptiness. 

We want to understand the city and its urban and social context as a holistic work of art, composed of many fragments that form a whole. Contemporary cities absorbing successive surrounding villages, agricultural areas and wastelands do not resemble the compact strongholds of the past. The urban impression, based on soft shapes that are more associated with nature than with architecture, is intertwined with geometric ones that organize this free fabric. Urban layouts, buildings, their insides are also important.
