The exhibition entitled “The Human Garden”, which is the continuation of many years of cooperation between the City Art Gallery in Łódź and the Łódź Design Festival, presents the paintings of Katarzyna Moczulska, an artist from Łódź. The exhibition at the Bałucka Gallery includes the painter’s premiere works, created for her first individual exhibition in her hometown. The Inside-Outside series features iconic contemporary designs, including the RM58 armchairs designed by Roman Modzelewski, mirrors (plate glass and a round frame) and vases by Oskar Zięta, lamps by Pani Jurek, and porcelain designs by Arkadiusz Szwed. The resulting oil paintings, often in large formats, draw the viewer into the reality created by the artist. At the exhibition, Katarzyna Moczulska’s works are juxtaposed with authentic objects that served as inspiration for the paintings. These real and tangible objects resonate with the narrative created by the artist on the canvas.
