Typo Party TYPE TEXT LDZ with the announcement of the winner of the Open Call and the awarding of the prize funded by the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź: May 25, 2024, at 7:30 p.m., at the exhibition

The theme of the TYPE TEXT LDZ project is the city of Lodz, in the context of the artistic traditions and immaterial heritage of the city – typography. More than 800 works from all over the world, depicting typographic impressions about the city, were submitted to the project in the Open Call. Although all works use typography, they make up one story about Lodz, which is told by the universal language of art. It is worth noting that for the authors of the works, who had never visited Lodz, preparing their work was a challenge at least requiring basic research. The exhibition consists of 200 works selected by an international jury, dedicated to the city seen from many perspectives and places: from Poland to Japan. Thanks to the exhibition, all these perspectives converge in one place – Lodz.
