“The ~1 hour collection” reflects on the fluidity of time and our relationship to it. At its center are unique hourglasses, developed by the designer in collaboration with Shard Art using a custom glass-blowing method. The two-tone form represents the designer’s dual identity – rooted in Palestinian heritage and shaped by daily life in the Czech Republic – as well as the blending of past and future into one mindful hour.
Other objects engage in a symbolic dialogue: a vase born from “mistakes” as a metaphor for transformation and a lamp with dual layers evoking the heart of the desert. The project celebrates Czech craftsmanship while exploring identity, imperfection, and the idea of gifting ourselves one uninterrupted hour.
