make me! 2013
The Jacquard fabric design proposed by Marta Kwiatkowska combines traditional patterns with modern design. This allows it to be used in a modern interior, whether as furniture upholstery or a decorative fabric to be hung on the wall. Hen are the main theme of the design, integrated into a background made up of multiplied geometric shapes. The fabric incorporates six colours: black, white, cream, red, brown and violet. Separate plaits were designed for each colour. The fabric was produced using a Picanol loom at the Institute for the Architecture of Textiles of the Łódź University of Technology.
