The Maar was founded by Agata Wojtczak and Antoni Bielawski – graduates of the design departments at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk and Warsaw. They have been active in Poland’s creative industries for many years. Their jewellery is distinguished by unconventional and characteristic forms with a strong dose of colour. The designers are inspired by the beauty of nature, exotic travels, postmodern design and art. Maar jewellery is handcrafted in Poland (primarily at the designers’ studio in Warsaw’s Praga district), using traditional goldsmithing methods and selected modern technologies.
