Open call to make me! 2024
The international make me! competition is one of the most innovative design events in Europe and a key part of the Łódź Design Festival. The most important goal of make me! is to forecast upcoming trends and support young designers (aged 20-35) who are ready to enter the industry. Finalists of previous editions emphasize the opportunities that have opened up for them by participating in the competition, including: becoming known in the design community, promotion through numerous publications and subsequent exhibitions.
The make me! competition, organized since 2008, is addressed not only to designers, but also to beginners in artistic and desig. It is intended for everyone who is inspired to take part in the design process by noticing a need or problem. In make me! projects that experiment with materials or look for new interpretations of existing functions are also rewarded. The submitted works are assessed in two stages by a specially selected jury with diverse interests, and thanks to the presentation of projects at the exhibition open to the public and contacts with experts, make me! can be a springboard for further professional development.
Łódź Design Festival is looking for make me! innovative ideas and projects that have a chance to bring good change! make me! is a competition open to young generation designers, allowing for great freedom of creation. Dedicated to everyone who is inspired to take part in the design process by noticing a need or problem.
The call for applications lasts from November 20, 2023 to April 5, 2024. The winners will be announced during the 18th edition of the Łódź Design Festival, which will take place in May 2024. make me! prize pool Design Awards 2024 is PLN 50.000!
